Let's talk about Tourmaline for a minute.

Among its general attributes, Tourmaline cleanses, purifies, and transforms dense energy into a lighter vibration. Psychologically, Tourmaline aids in understanding oneself and others, taking you deep into yourself, promoting self confidence and diminishing fear.
What role does Tourmaline play with your skin?
Tourmaline is chemically one of the most complicated silicate minerals. The individual colors are due to the presence of one or more of the following elements: iron, magnesium, manganese, calcium, cobalt, lithium and potassium. These different zones of color are due to the time the material has taken to crystallize, with different tinctured agents effecting the crystal at different times during the formative process. Cobalt is responsible for blues, magnesium for greens, iron and magnesium for dark reds, iron and manganese for pink, while iron, magnesium and manganese combined make yellowish green.
Tourmaline crystals when warmed become positively charged at one end and negatively charged at the other. This allows Tourmaline to activate and increase absorption of nutrients in to the skin. This mineral is a powerful choice to utilize in healing and protecting the skin. The vibrating movement of molecules in living tissue, while interacting with Tourmaline, produces an increase in energy which in turn activates cells and enhances metabolism. This stone, in all of its colors, promotes living in harmony with the internal and external environment.
